I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
